It's cold here to oddly and it's normally in the 80's or 90's. I love hot. I'm already contemplating relocation to warmer climates when it turns cold here.

The lag isn't so much your camera as it's your internet connection. The way the recording on Viddyou works is that it adapts to the speed of your upload speeds continuously. If you have a lot of speed out of the house - you get better, more in sync video. It may be that your webcam has a low frame rate too. Try recording direct to disk and see how the quality comes out. Lighting can play a part as well. Video is fun like that. =)
